Enjoy these spuds with your favorite dipping sauce or condiment. We think that they are great with a little bit of truffle oil. Malt vinegar, sour cream and fresh chives, or no salt ketchup will also do the trick.
Serve these fries immediately after done broiling to ensure that they are eaten while still crispy. Like most fries, they will get soggy if allowed to sit.
- 3 large russet potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Clean the potatoes and then cut into thin fry-size strips, about 1/4 inch thick and 1/2 inch wide.
Combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper in a large resealable bag. Add potatoes to bag and shake to coat.
Place potatoes on a large cookie sheet covered with aluminum foil. Bake for approximately 30 minutes, or until fries began to get crispy.
Turn on the oven broiler. Broil for 3-5 minutes, or until the fries are dark brown. Serve immediately.
