Tart, sweet, and flavorful.  What is Thanksgiving without a little cranberry sauce to go with your turkey dinner?  Once you make your own, you’ll never buy the store bought stuff again.

Ingredients

  • 1 12-ounce bag of fresh cranberries (about 3 cups)
  • 1/2 cup fresh-squeezed orange juice
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey

Method

Step 1

Combine all ingredients in medium saucepan. Heat over medium-high heat, stirring often. Simmer for approximately 10 minutes, until cranberries have popped open and have softened slightly. The natural pectin in the cranberries will cause the sauce to thicken and it cooks.

Step 2

Remove from the heat and transfer to a bowl or resealable container. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
